When the blueprints and CAD designs are studied, or even specimen casings
studied, the customer’s requirements are discussed in great detail. As
soon as the dimensions and materials to be used,
including the pricing,
are agreed upon, engineers draw up the schedule of work based on the raw
material purchased.
Right from drawing to pattern to mould to casting, every step is closely
monitored by the respective technicians to ascertain that the dimensions
and closeness of tolerance are adhered. Various
tests are conducted to ascertain the grade of the material, hardness,
grain structure and machinability.
